I was raised in the great deep south of Alabama. My two wonderful parents and whole family have been extremely supportive of me my whole life, and I owe them all sorts of gratitude for the foundation they’ve provided me with. It was my mother and father that decided to enroll me in drawing lessons as a young child, which I believe jump-started my creative mind. I attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I learned about textile design and fiber arts, and set myself on a path to find a job I love! I now live in Brazil with my husband and our pet boat. We’re still trying to name her, so if you have any suggestions, we’d love to hear them.

My style comes from so many places, I hate to have to tell you that sometimes I can’t recognize my work while it’s in progress. I’m usually inspired by… well, anything… But here are a few: I love modern interior design and architecture, old magazines, botanical gardens, and I love to draw! I am sure the majority of my inspiration comes when I have a piece of paper and a pen. This is where I feel most at home, taking in the things I see throughout the day, and using my mind to put them on paper. My drawings always surprise me, one day I’ll draw something organic and earthy, and the next day it’ll be architectural and rigid. Putting all these together into a collection of fabric is a dream come true!

Luxe in Bloom will be my first fabric collection with Art Gallery Fabrics ®. My husband and I often laugh about the Harvey MacKay quote “Find something you love to do, and you’ll never work a day in your life”. Every day we thank our lucky stars that we love what we do.
